Only Three Steps

Sonny Martuscelli, in only thirty years of his life, has managed to break the record on contradictions. Economics graduate but chronically unemployed. Lucky with women but unlucky in love. Would like to change the world but when in front of TV cannot even change the channel. Might as well roll a joint and wait for the commercials to be over.

Then, one day, the tragedy. Sonny's father goes to jail for killing his mother and Sonny gets kicked out of the house. No family, no home, no woman, no money. But Sonny doesn't despair and decides that if the fortune doesn't come to him, he'll take time to find it. So he meets Marilyn, beautiful, complicated, a bit shady, in other words a perfect woman and Sonny falls in love for the very first time in his life.

The world seems to have a meaning now and life feels just like a movie. But Sonny still has to deal with his jealousy and his temper. And it's because of his jealousy that he ends up in troubles becoming accused of a murder he hasn't commit. The only way out, just like it happens in movies, is to escape. Escape right now and far, very far. Two days later Sonny and Marilyn are on their way to Morocco. And a sort of a dream begins: him, her, in a foreign country, where they can be themselves, just like being in a different world. But Sonny feels, he knows deep inside of him that not even a perfect escape lasts forever…
